A Heartfelt Thank You to the Ethel and James Flinn Foundation

The Recovery Action Network of Michigan (RANMI) is deeply appreciative to announce that we’ve been awarded a $5,000 mini-grant from the Ethel and James Flinn Foundation as part of their Mental Health Awareness, Education, and Outreach Mini-Grants Program. This valuable support will directly fund our Recovery Outreach Initiative, which focuses on expanding substance use disorder (SUD) recovery support through education and community outreach in Western Wayne County.

This grant will empower us to continue our mission of advocating for recovery and reducing the stigma surrounding SUD and mental health. With these funds, we can extend our reach to underserved populations, providing peer-led recovery support, educational workshops, and community engagement events that embrace multiple pathways to recovery. From increasing access to critical resources to supporting individuals through their recovery journey, the Recovery Outreach Initiative aims to improve mental health outcomes and reduce relapse and overdose rates.

We thank the Ethel and James Flinn Foundation for their dedication to mental health and for believing in the power of community-based recovery support. Their support allows us to deepen our impact and continue building a community that embraces and supports recovery for all.
