Celebrating New Beginnings: Grand Opening of the Recovery Action Network of Michigan Community Center

We’re thrilled to announce the grand opening of the Recovery Action Network of Michigan (RANMI) Recovery Community Center—a new welcoming space dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey of recovery from substance use disorder.

Executive Director Allison Herrst stands proudly outside the new RANMI Recovery Community Center on Grand Opening Day.

A Place to Connect, Heal, and Grow

Located in Wayne, Michigan, our community center offers a safe, supportive environment where people in recovery, their families, and allies can gather for fellowship, education, and empowerment. This center is designed to provide resources, workshops, social events, and peer support that reinforce long-term recovery and well-being.

Grand Opening Event Highlights

On June 5th, 2025, RANMI hosted a grand opening and open house that brought together recovery advocates, community members, local leaders, and supporters for an afternoon of celebration and connection.

Guests were invited to tour the new facility, meet Executive Director Allison Herrst, connect with RANMI staff and board members, and visit interactive stations to learn more about RANMI’s mission, services, and recovery-centered programming.

The event featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony and powerful remarks from City of Wayne officials Mayor John Rhaesa and Chief of Police Ryan Strong. Executive Director Allison Herrst also shared a heartfelt speech about her personal recovery journey and RANMI’s commitment to creating a welcoming space for all recovery pathways.

At RANMI, we believe in whole-family healing and the power of recovery to restore connection and purpose. This center is not only a professional achievement, but a deeply personal milestone for our Executive Director and her loved ones.

Our Vision for the Future
